EV Leasing

Corporate EV leasing for India’s next fleet

Electrify executive, employee and field fleets with an operating lease model — residual risk with the lessor, predictable rentals and charging-readiness built into the programme.

Understanding the Model

What is MYLEASE EV Leasing?

MYLEASE EV Leasing is an operating lease programme for electric passenger vehicles. Your organisation pays a fixed monthly rental; MYLEASE retains residual value risk and can package insurance, maintenance and support around the vehicle.

It is designed for sustainability-led enterprises that want lower Scope 1 emissions and clearer total cost of ownership — without locking capital into depreciating EV assets.

Who it’s for

Built for organisations moving from ICE fleets to electric mobility at scale.

Charging readiness

Electrification works when charging matches how your people actually drive. Plan these three pillars before you switch.

Depot & workplace

For field fleets and campus parking: overnight or dwell-time charging at offices, depots and factories so vehicles return with usable range each day.

Home charging

For employee and benefit cars: confirm apartment or villa charging access, society permissions and overnight top-ups so daily commuting stays simple.

Public network

For intercity and outstation travel: map highway and city public chargers along typical routes, plus contingency stops when depot or home access is unavailable.

What to plan before you switch

  • Fleet policy — who qualifies for EV, mileage bands and replacement rules
  • Typical routes and daily kilometres vs vehicle range
  • Dwell time at office, depot or home for reliable charging windows
  • Charger access rights (society, landlord, campus facilities)
  • Driver briefing on charging etiquette and public-network apps

Charging basics

What are the different EV charging levels & speeds?

EV charging is grouped by how much power reaches the vehicle. Higher power generally means faster charging — choose the level that matches home, workplace or highway use.

  1. Level 1 (Slow AC) — Uses a common household outlet (about 240 V in India), typically up to ~3.5 kW. A full charge often takes 8–12+ hours, so it suits overnight home charging or lighter daily driving.
  2. Level 2 (Fast AC) — Uses a higher-capacity AC supply (around 380–400 V in India), often up to ~22 kW. A full charge is commonly around 4–6 hours. This is the usual choice for home wallboxes and workplace, mall or parking chargers.
  3. DC fast charging (Level 3) — Feeds high-voltage DC directly to the battery (up to ~400 kW on the fastest public units). Many vehicles can reach about 80% in 30–60 minutes. Best for highway and commercial hubs — not typical home setups.
EV charging levels, power and typical use
Charging level Power supply Charging speed Ideal use
Level 1 (Slow AC) Up to ~3.5 kW 8–12+ hours for a full charge (approx.) Overnight home charging for light daily driving, or smaller batteries
Level 2 (Fast AC) Up to ~22 kW 4–6 hours for a full charge (approx.) Home or workplace charging; daily use and top-ups during longer stops
DC Fast (Level 3) Up to ~400 kW Up to ~80% in about an hour Public stations, highway stops, commercial fleets and long-distance travel

Actual times vary with battery size and the vehicle’s maximum charge rate. Figures are illustrative for India fleet planning.

How transition works

A practical path from ICE fleet to EV — audit, pilot, then scale.

  1. Fleet audit

Map vehicles, duty cycles, parking and charging constraints across sites.

  2. Model & TCO

Compare operating lease rentals and packaged services against ownership and ICE baselines.

  3. Pilot cohort

Start with a defined user group — executives, a GCC campus or one field region.

  4. Charge & support

Align workplace, home and public charging habits with driver support and MYLEASE One tracking.

  5. Scale

Roll out by entitlement band, city or business unit with clear replacement waves.
